From September 27 to 29 a conference will be held in Marina di Loano on Sustainable Tourism Development in Italy and France.
The event will start with a public conference where two projects, INTENSE and EcoSTRIM, will be presented. Both projects are financed through UE cross-border INTERREG IT-FR MARITTIMO Programme and aim at enhancing the promotion of sustainable tourism in the cross-border cooperation area.
Following the conference, outdoor activities will be organized locally, specifically for invited journalists and bloggers in order to promote the territory.
Main objectives of EcoSTRIM are: (1) to improve the cross-border networks dedicated to the development of ecological labels for coastal tourism activities (2) to develop new coastal tourism products and (3) to improve the accessibility of coastal touristic points of interest.
Main objectives of INTENSE are (1) development of sustainable tourism, integrated with soft mobility and inter-modality as a perspective of socioeconomic growth for the cross-border area (2) the identification and integrated management of a system of sustainable tourist itineraries (3) the promotion of cycling and hiking tourism that enhances the natural and cultural heritage of the partner territories.
