Within the Two Rivers one Goal project (Lead Beneficiary: Mura Region EGTC), financed through Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020, there will be a full weekend programme. Opening of the Lake “Å uderica” in Goričan and the Days of gold and old crafts in Donji Vidovec aim to attract the wider audience.

The event Opening of the Lake „Å uderica“ will take place at the upgraded artificial lake in Goričan. The upgraded lake will be presented, as an activity financed through this project. It will be then opened for tourists and visitors – with a renewed promenade, benches and playground, further improving their experience of the water and advance tourism of the Municipality of Goričan, which is a project partner/beneficiary in the project Two Rivers one Goal . The opening ceremony will be accompanied by a traditional music programme typical for this region.

Gold panning is a unique intangible cultural heritage typical for Donji Vidovec. In order to promote this old craft, the Croatian municipality of Donji Vidovec, another project partner/beneficiary in the project Two Rivers one Goal, will organize a two-day event, in the Hotel „Golf” in Donji Vidovec. Over these two days, the programme of the event will include the presentations of traditional crafts that are typical for MeÄ‘imurje, focusing on gold panning. During the first day of the event, a round table „Roads of gold – yesterday, today and tomorrow“ will be held in Donji Vidovec to discuss further promotion of gold panning as a brand of the municipality.

In order to present and promote the traditional craft of gold panning to potential tourists, gold panning demonstration and panoramic boat tour on Mura River will be organised on the second day of the event. It is a part of new joint sustainable water-based tourism offer developed within the project Two Rivers one Goal.
