When to come?
On 20 of September 2018, in OraviÈ›a, Romania, we invite all citizens from the Romanian – Serbian cross-border area to join the celebration of the European Cooperation Day.
Why to come?
This year, we will involve in environmental protection activities in order to increase the awareness of the population regarding the importance of the natural environments within our towns and cities. Together we plan to plant 34 trees. They symbolize the success of the 34 cross-border projects and partnerships from the first call of the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Program. Children are invited to draw on asphalt using chalk and the best artistically skills of the children will be appreciated by the participants and rewarded.
We are proud to celebrate together!
It is our Programme’s tradition to bring the celebration to both countries Romania and Serbia, alternating each year, starting with TimiÈ™oara in 2012 and followed by Vršac (2013), ReÈ™iÈ›a (2014), Veliko Gradište (2015), Drobeta Turnu Severin (2016) and Kikinda in 2017. In the past editions, people from Romania and Serbia sang together, attended photo exhibitions and watched films regarding Romanian-Serbian cross-border projects and, in general, had a wonderful time together with their country neighbours.
The results of the past and the aspirations of the future offer a great reason to celebrate Romanian-Serbian cross-border activities financed by the European Union under the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme.
