To celebrate the European Cooperation Day, the “Mare di agrumi” project will hold a cooking workshop to let children discover the citrus fruit and its benefits. This workshop happens within the Sea Festival of Santa Lucia (Siniscola), which brings together farmers and producers from the citrus fruit sector.
The citrus fruit is at the heart of the “Mare di agrumi” project, funded by the Interreg Italy-France Maritime programme, which involves the territories across the maritime border between Italy and France.
The preservation of this fruit is a common challenge for these territories. “Mare di agrumi” supports the production of citrus fruit and promotes an exchange and cooperation between producers. It also carries out a series of activities to sensitize citizens on the protection of the citrus fruit.
With this workshop, “Mare di agrumi” will present the citrus fruit, the activities carried out to protect it and the added value of european cooperation to make sure that all partners across the border work together to preserve the natural heritage of the Tyrrhenian area.
